New Movie about PASDeb Whitaker is a Producer, Screenwriter (and Psychotherapist), and I'm writing you about an Independent feature film that my colleagues and I plan to produce surrounding the topic of parental alienation.
CLIMATE parallels the tragic alienation between a mother and daughter with the alienation between nature and humanity. Essentially, Climate is about healing our relationship with the earth, each other, and ourselves. It takes place in New Hampshire and Hawaii, and is based on the true story of two dear friends of mine who went through severe cases of parental alienation. (www.climatethemovie.com) In our story, the main character is a targeted parent going through a typical case of Parental Alienation, and trying to understand what is happening to her relationship with her 14 year old daughter. It's only when she learns about Parental Alienation and recognizes it as child abuse, that she begins to turn their lives around. Our intention with our film is to offer hope, healing, and to raise awareness of parental alienation, and alienation in general. In these toxic times, we believe that even Mother Earth has become a targeted parent! And, we are not by any means Hollywood Producers! We are independent filmmakers from New Hampshire, and whether this movie gets made or not is completely dependent upon our upcoming Indiegogo crowd funding campaign. We are launching on Earth Day, April 22. We've joined forces with Parental Alienation Awareness Organization (PAAO) and created a special promotion on April 25, Parental Alienation Awareness Day (or Bubbles of Love Day), where 25% of proceeds from select perks on our campaign will benefit PAAO. To be the success we know it can be, we need you and your organization's help in spreading the word about our crowd funding campaign. Here's a short, fun video (https://youtu.be/khctruy2cnQ ) for you to use to spread the word for Bubbles of Love Day. (Please don't share this video until Wednesday. As soon as we launch Wednesday morning, I'll send you the Live link for you to share. Once we launch, you can post the link and the video all over your social media sites.) Also, to make it as easy and fun as possible to share, we created a special page on our website on how to spread the word about our campaign. Thank you for all you do to raise awareness about parental alienation, and for your help in getting the word out about our crowd funding campaign! KVCR TV ShowApril 19, 2015
TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PARENTAL ALIENATION STUDY GROUP: My name is Ron Berglas and I am the producer and host of KVCR TV’s INSIGHT with Ron Berglas. KVCR is the public television and radio station covering The Inland Empire, Coachella Valley, Riverside, and parts of Los Angeles County. The mission of this show is to provide a public service by focusing our programs on subjects that will have an immediate impact on the lives of our viewers. Our next program will be on the subject of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS), a term coined, as you know, by Dr. Richard A. Gardner to describe “…a disorder in which a child, on an ongoing basis, belittles and insults one parent without justification, due to a combination of factors, including indoctrination by the other parent.” More specifically, the purpose of the show is to help licensed marriage and family therapists, as well as mediators and participants within the legal professions to understand how their lack of knowledge on this global and divisive issue has exacerbated the trauma so many families go through. On this episode of INSIGHT, we bring together a group of experts like Linda Kase-Gottlieb and Dr. William Bernet as well as alienated parents, adults who were alienated as children, dramatic readings from family therapy case notes, and much more. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to email me at: poughquag@gmail.com Once it has aired on KVCR, our plan will be to market the show to PBS stations around the country, as well as to individuals, groups, universities, libraries, medical and family-orientated establishments around the country and around the world. Your investment in this show will help to break open the traditional methodology and encourage therapists, psychiatrists, mediators, lawyers, and judges, not only to recognize and understand the PAS dynamic when it is placed in front of them, but to educate themselves so that they can begin to find new ways to help these families. The fund raising goal is $5,000, and to date we have raised $2,000.00. Please consider making your tax-deductible donation today by clicking on this link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/stop-parental-alienation-now On behalf of the thousands of children and their targeted parents worldwide who have been so profoundly affected, we thank you for your generous support. With sincere appreciation, Ron Berglas |
