Blue Murder, Season 3, Episode 2 - Make Believe.
This episode while not directly about alienation, presents the alienation of a child from her biological father by her mother. At the end of the episode, the daughter tells the mother off for what she has done and she rekindles her 12 year hiatus from a relationship with her father and step-mother.
DCI Lewis leads the investigation into the disappearance of a three-year-old boy, Sammy Wray, who was taken from his local play park. When a local builder finds the body of a young child in a drainage tunnel, Janine informs the boy's grieving parents - but it's not long before the boy's father comes under suspicion after his alibi turns shaky. Janine also suspects that the man's ex-wife and daughter may have played a part in the boy's disappearance - until DNA reveals that the body is not that of Sammy Ray. Janine subsequently discovers a tragic case of misfortune when it transpires that one of the builders from the contracting firm may be hiding a very deadly secret from his wife.

British BBC TV show: The Archers
As even the rest of the world must have heard, the long-running much-loved BBC radio soap opera, The Archers, has been building a brilliant plot around the coercive control of Rob against his wife, Helen. Helen then stabbed him and has been in prison awaiting the trial of Helen for attempted murder - last week’s main story and today’s full-length jury scene in which she …. (uh-oh - spoiler alert!).
The jury scene made me think of the famous old film “12 Angry Men”!! Watch that film here if you don’t know it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfAbTyAcgpE
In the UK, you can download the show. Here’s the Omnibus edition for each week. Think of it like you do when you binge-watch a box-set on Netflix!!

Outside the UK you may not be able to download BBC programmes. But you CAN get the overall picture so far from pages like this:

Now, what has not featured yet as such is how Rob has also been turning or planning to turn the two children against their mother. Yep!! aka "Parental Alienation” (PA) of course - another coercive control and undue influence pattern. It has been equally stomach-churningly and subtly scripting. Brilliant stuff! Listen to any of the Omnibuses.
Now that the trial has ended there is still a custody battle in the family courts brewing - the little boy, Henry, has been skilfully coached by Rob (and Rob's mother) to say the right (ie wrong) things about Henry's mother. And there's their baby too.
So now is the time to get "Parental Alienation" into the headlines and the social media - in the UK if not across the world. By Liking and ReTweeting across the world, you'll be doing a great service to help us in the UK.

… have said:
“ … we deliberately decided to use the dirtier route and not have him die, because now they are umbilically linked together as long as they have those children together, so I think they have another 20 to 30 years of the story.” Sunday night’s episode hinted at this. A custody battle is due to take place on 14 September and at the end of the episode Helen had a chilling run-in with Rob. “Did you think you could tell all those lies about me and I’d just disappear?” he said. “Well, you might have fooled everyone else, but we both know the truth … You haven’t got rid of me. As long as we have a child together, you never will.””
Although this plot does unfortunately confirm the stereotype of men as the baddies, there is a silver lining for PA in that it shows that PA is not gender specific as many insist it is.
